Meet Brenda
Hi, I'm Brenda.
Balloonia is a one-artist studio in London Ontario. I'm the one who reads your brief, designs the build, sources the colours, and shows up to install on the day. Every arch, wall, ceiling install, and bouquet that goes out under the Balloonia name was built by me, in this studio, for your specific event.
Every build starts fresh.
Every Balloonia install is built fresh in your colours and your venue's exact dimensions. No catalog arches sitting in a closet, no props recycled from last weekend's gig. That part costs more time than working from a catalog, but it's the reason no two Balloonia builds look the same.
The other thing I care about, possibly more than the colours and the shapes themselves, is the structural side. Hoops that hold their shape through a six-hour reception. Garlands that survive an outdoor June afternoon. Ceiling installs that don't drop a balloon onto someone's plate halfway through dinner. That part doesn't always show up in the photos, but you feel it when the room still looks finished at the end of the night.
How I got here.
From a young age, I felt a special connection to celebrations. I studied interior design at university, and while being involved in a nonprofit organization, I discovered my passion for creating immersive atmospheres. In addition, my background in interior decoration and my father's upholstery and furniture remodeling business gave me a sharp eye for detail. What I love most about my work is being able to transform spaces, turning ideas into realities, and I am especially proud of one installation: a wedding reception where I transformed a simple hall into a magical environment. Each detail was carefully thought out, and that transformation is a reflection of my passion. Outside of balloons, I also love creating a harmonious atmosphere at home, because I believe every space deserves to feel like a sanctuary.
What ends up on my calendar.
Most of my work falls into a few categories. Wedding ceremony arches and reception backdrops. Baby and bridal shower walls. Corporate brand activations and product launches. Kids' birthdays and graduation columns. Ceiling installs, photo booth backdrops, helium bouquets, and number or letter columns when the brief calls for it.
Service area is London Ontario plus a 50km radius. If your venue is inside that zone, I deliver and install. If it's just outside, send a message anyway and we'll see if it works.
On the day.
I arrive at your venue 2 to 3 hours before guests are scheduled. Everything gets built on site, from the structural frame up. When I leave, the room is fully set and nothing of the install process is left behind. You walk into a finished room.
